#NYFW

Tomorrow kicks off New York Fashion Week! I am over-the-moon excited because (drum roll) I am headed to the Big Apple towards the end of the week. I am a Fashion Week virgin as I have been invited to shows in the past but have been unable to make it happen due to scheduling. But, this year, my bags are packed and I'm headed to Lincoln Center! While I am excited, my nerves are definitely at an all time high. I mean, what to wear?!?!? I, in no way considering myself trendy, high fashion nor daring but nonetheless, I appreciate the art and production that goes in to Fashion Week. Especially working in the events industry,  I can truly appreciate everyone's long hours, no sleep, work-hard-every-second mentality (while in heels). So, for my outfit inspiration:

Carolina Herrera. She is always classically elegant. She chooses simple color palettes and timeless accessories. Not to mention she is a killer designer who is known for clothing First Ladies (ahem, Jackie O) and has graced Vogue's cover way more than once. 

So that's what I am going for: Simple, classic and elegant with my own Summer Wind twist (aka tons of pearls). Definitely trying to stay true to myself and my style! I may be sporting one "trend" and that is the bold eyebrows (see post here). I am just in love Cara Delevigne (who isn't?) and her eyebrows (ok, so it's a little odd to love someone's eyebrows). 

Now, I need your input. Have you attended shows and events? Any tips? Will you be there?! I feel like a clueless freshman again! 

Although I will be attending the shows mostly by myself, I am excited to meet up with Krista on Sunday for the #rSNYFW party... it's crazy to think we met a year ago!
